Carious processes in deciduous teeth can influence the development of caries in permanent teeth. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly visit a dentist for preventive check-ups. For example, during one of the routine check-ups, caries was detected in tooth 55 (deciduous) and tooth 16 (permanent) in Fedor.

In childhood, carious processes develop rapidly due to several factors: the enamel of newly erupted permanent teeth is not mature yet, manual skills for thorough cleaning of teeth from plaque and food residues are not sufficient in children, and dietary habits in children leave much to be desired. Therefore, during the mixed dentition phase, it is important to regularly conduct professional examinations to prevent the formation of caries. During one of the examinations, we found caries in tooth 16 (permanent) and tooth 55 (deciduous) in Fedor.

After anesthesia and isolation of the teeth with a rubber dam system, cavity preparation was performed.

Under the control of magnification and caries indicator, a partial pulpotomy was performed.

The tooth surfaces were restored with A2 shade composite, matching the tooth surface.

Point correction of restorations was performed using articulating paper. Now Fedor is not afraid of carious monsters.
