All-on-4 Dental Implants

What Are These Implants? Overview

All-on-4 implants are an innovative dental restoration system where an entire arch of teeth is supported by just four implants. Two implants are placed at an angle in the front part of the jaw, and two are placed vertically in the back. This ensures high stability and reliability of the structure, allowing for even distribution of chewing pressure.

Advantages of All-on-4 Implants

  • Minimal Number of Implants: Only four implants per jaw are needed, reducing the complexity and duration of the procedure;
  • Short Treatment Time: The procedure can be completed in one day, including tooth extraction (if necessary) and temporary prosthesis placement;
  • High Stability and Comfort: All-on-4 implants provide a secure fit for prosthetics, preventing movement and irritation;
  • No Need for Bone Grafting: The method allows avoiding additional surgeries, even with low bone volume;
  • Aesthetics and Functionality: The prosthetics look natural and fully restore chewing function.

Problems Addressed by Implants

All-on-4 dental implants are used to address the following issues:

  • Complete Tooth Loss: For patients who have lost all teeth in one or both jaws.
  • Unsatisfactory Dentures: When removable dentures cause discomfort or do not provide sufficient stability.
  • Bone Loss: Suitable for patients with reduced bone volume, eliminating the need for bone grafting.
  • Multiple Dental Issues: When multiple teeth are damaged or missing, requiring a comprehensive solution.

Are There Any Contraindications?

  • Acute Inflammatory Processes in the Oral Cavity;
  • Blood Clotting Disorders;
  • Severe Forms of Periodontitis;
  • Certain Chronic Diseases (e.g., uncontrolled diabetes);
  • Insufficient Bone Volume in Critical Areas (in rare cases).

The Implant Installation Process. Main Stages

  • Consultation and Diagnosis. Examination of the oral cavity, X-rays, or CT scans to assess bone tissue and plan implantation;
  • Treatment Planning. Creating a personalized treatment plan based on the patient’s anatomical features;
  • Tooth Extraction. Removal of damaged teeth before implant placement;
  • Implant Placement. Four implants are placed into the jaw under local anesthesia;
  • Temporary Prosthesis Placement. Temporary prostheses are placed on the implants the same day;
  • Final Prosthetics. After a few months, the temporary prostheses are replaced with permanent ones.

All-on-4 implants are a modern and effective solution for patients who want to quickly and reliably restore their dental arch in cases of complete tooth loss. This technology achieves high aesthetic and functional results with minimal surgical intervention.

Each patient who comes to our clinic for the first time receives a detailed comprehensive consultation of several specialists on the state of oral health. This is necessary in order to develop an individualized treatment plan that is suitable for this particular person, based on a complex of problems in the oral cavity, and not on a single decayed tooth.
