Restoration of the central incisors in sleep
Egor is only 1.5 years old, but his anterior teeth are already quite destroyed. It’s good that he experienced no severe pain, although he did not let his mother brush these teeth so much. This is how she realized that it was caries and turned to us for help.

What is computer anesthesia?

At Polar Bear General Dental Clinic, we have long been confidently using computer anesthesia with the STA device.

  • The device, in the form of a small unit, is equipped with a tip similar to a regular ballpoint pen. At its tip is a needle as thin as a hair.
  • The doctor gently touches the gums with the needle, and it is possible to select the mode of drug administration on the device – very slowly and without pressure on the delicate gum tissues, especially in children.
  • The anesthetic reaches the nerve endings along the path of least resistance and very slowly, so the patient will not feel the unpleasant sensation of tissue expansion. Therefore, the use of computer anesthesia in pediatric dentistry has become so widespread.

The advantages

  • Pain-free administration of the anesthetic.
  • Instant action of the anesthesia.
  • Cheeks and lips are less likely to become numb, eliminating biting them.
  • Not scary.
  • Does not frighten with its appearance and sounds.

How are children’s teeth treated during computer anesthesia?

Treating children’s milk teeth under computer anesthesia is much easier in terms of adaptation to our unpleasant procedures. We dedicate a lot of time and effort to ensuring a calm and safe atmosphere for the child at our pediatric dental practice, where they can relax and trust the doctors.

The use of computer anesthesia in pediatric dentistry gives us a huge advantage in combating the pain and discomfort that can scare the child and make treatment in consciousness impossible.

We often use computer anesthesia in children at their first visit for treatment, if it’s necessary to perform otherwise unpleasant procedures such as milk tooth extraction, treatment of pulpitis of a milk tooth, for example. We try to do all of this under nitrous oxide sedation to blur unfamiliar new devices and distract the patient, not allowing them to focus on fear.

In essence, the injection of the anesthetic does not represent anything frightening, but the sight of a syringe makes even the bravest patient nervous. With computer anesthesia, we don’t have this problem, which significantly facilitates the administration of local anesthetic.

During the initial consultation we will definitely carry out photodiagnostics of the condition of the teeth and portrait photography in our photo studio if you are preparing for orthodontic treatment, prosthetics, or teeth whitening. Next we take a photo of the current treatment and at the end you can see the result of your treatment in the photo.

Photos are attached to your electronic health record and help you participate equally and track your treatment progress.

Painless treatment

A mixture of nitric oxide and oxygen in a small concentration reduces the level of anxiety and control in anticipation of what is happening in the dentist's chair.
Indicated for children after three years for any type of treatment, adolescences and adults as well.

Digital treatments protocols

We have implemented accurate digital protocols for surgical planning and aesthetic prosthetics in adult patients in the planning of orthodontic treatment for the smallest patients in difficult cases.

Comprehensive approach

Each patient who comes to our clinic for the first time receives a detailed comprehensive consultation of several specialists on the state of oral health. This is necessary in order to develop an individualized treatment plan that is suitable for this particular person, based on a complex of problems in the oral cavity, and not on a single decayed tooth.
